In recognition of Dr. Griffin's extraordinary service—his work alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his advocacy for social justice, and his unwavering support for women in Christian ministry—we are launching a restoration project for our chapel, which will be renamed “The Griffin Memorial Chapel” on July 25th, 2026. This initiative is not just about bricks and mortar; it’s about honoring a legacy of compassion, activism, and faith.

Dr. Griffin dedicated over 50 years to ministry, education and activism, leaving an indelible mark on our community. His literary contributions, particularly his book “By Your Traditions," have inspired many and remains a beacon for those advocating for equality in ministry. His beloved wife, Barbara Griffin, enriched our community through her musical gifts, further solidifying their combined impact on our church and beyond.

Despite our church family’s commitment to restoration efforts over the past 50 years, the chapel now requires ~ $10,000 of significant repairs. As we prepare to honor the Griffins, we seek your support to ensure that this sacred space remains a haven for worship, reflection, and community engagement.
